Simulating Your Financial Future State-Of-The-Art Portfolio Stress-Testing
While there are no guarantees when it comes to investing, TR&R manages portfolio risk by using a sophisticated statistical technique called Monte Carlo simulation. This computer-aided modeling system:
- Projects annual returns on your portfolio over the course of your expected lifetime.
- Randomly varies the returns you’ll get every year to reflect market realities.
- Simulates the performance you would see from your portfolio if you lived hundreds of lifetimes to try to model uncertainty of the financial markets.
- Gives you a clear idea about how confident you can be that your portfolio will allow you to achieve your financial goals.
Monte Carlo quantifies the risk that you will not be able to afford all that you want in the future. No one can predict the future with certainty and statistics don’t replace good judgment, but this technique assists in better understanding life’s financial realities, and we make it part of our practice.

Customized Investment Portfolios Designed To Preserve And Grow Your Assets
TR&R Investment Advisors, LLC builds your portfolio from the ground up, based on your personal financial goals, your risk tolerance, and your time horizon. Then, we monitor the performance of each investment, rebalancing when necessary to keep your portfolio in line with your objectives.
Defining Your Investment Objectives. At our first meeting, we will explore your investment goals, listen to your financial concerns, and help your prioritize your long-term objectives. Then, we will collect all of your relevant financial data to construct your Investment Policy Statement.
Staying On Track. With your Investment Policy Statement as our guide, we design and implement your portfolio, then monitor it daily. In our semi-annual meetings, we go over your portfolio’s recent performance and talk about any changes that can be made to try to improve your returns. Your Investment Policy Statement, a statement guiding management of your assets, is reviewed and updated annually.

Our Multi-Strategy Approach To Investing A Single Portfolio Built With Multiple Asset Classes
Most of the portfolios we manage are built around a core holding of individual stocks. We believe that portfolios constructed with individual stocks are more tax-efficient than those using packaged products, such as mutual funds, which can also add in an additional layer of management fees. Then we seek to boost overall performance and diversify by including a combination of additional asset classes around that core, depending on market conditions and your personal needs. Additional asset classes we use include specialized EXCHANGE-TRADED FUNDS, BONDS, and CLOSED-END MUTUAL FUNDS.
